Vanilla UI Plus (VUI+) is a Fallout 3 & New Vegas mod that greatly improves the user interface without compromising the original style. I like vanilla as it reminds me of old PLATO programs, and the original fonts are easy to read by everyone, including controller users. To quote Billy Graham:
“And get a bible with big print. I think one of the greatest tricks that the devil ever pulled off on the American people was when he started printing bibles with such little print that nobody can read them.”
VUI+ has a few prominent and hundreds of under-the-hood features, as seen in the annotated screenshots below and the changelog. It’s provided under a copyleft license (see the License.txt file in the archive). Here's a very promising fork.
To request support, please use the latest versions of xNVSE, JIP-LN, UIO, Stewie’s Tweaks, JohnnyGuitar and YUP, and make sure that you have installed VUI+ after any conflicting mods such as the MCM. You can use the comments at the end of this page but for feature requests or technical questions please use the forum instead.

Hey, I'm really enjoying this mod! (Fallout 3 version). I have one complaint though, and that's the remapping of the Take All button in containers. 16 years of muscle memory has made the switch to the R key pretty annoying, so I'm hoping there's a simple xml edit I can make to revert it (didn't choose to install the WASD remapper when I installed it btw, so not sure why the buttons would have been changed). Tried poking around in container_menu.xml, but couldn't figure it out.
Nevermind, I just found the Keybinds folder. Apologies, bit late at night for me right now
But do read this please: Moddb.com. Anything other than "A" would be great, and "R" was a good recommendation from a user in the early days of this mod.
BTW, I'm happy to see that users of my mod are increasingly DIYers and TFM readers.
Hi, how can I disable the persistent quest objectives in the top right corner?
You must be using another mod that does that; mine doesn't.
thank you for helping me out, I have no idea how I missed that tutorial lol...your awesome
please help, every time I launch the game i get a popup saying "vanilla UI plus has detected an installation error. if you are using MO2,simply drag this mod (not the plugin) under conflicting mods and make sure you have installed UIO!" I'm not using mo2 im using vortex like in the tutorial
Here's the right tutorial: Moddb.com
