Hi, I wanted to tell you that I have a problem with crashes when a specific date falls in the game, more specifically April 15, 1847 playing with the Argentine confederation, other than that I think it's a good mod

Hey, I'm not getting this error at the moment, but I've been less active with this mod with updates on github and this site because of my studies atm, but in a few weeks I'll be free during holidays to check it out again.

Make sure you download the zip of the mod, place the zip inside the mod folder of the Victoria II steam game folders. Then unzip the mod by right clicking the zip file. This will give you the folder for the content of the mod, as well as the map mod, and two .mod files which are used to access these folders, make sure you open these .mod files in notepad and make sure the file path is correct. After this, you should be able to enjoy the mod fully. If these instructions don't work though this video should work fine: Youtube.com

Heyyy chief i dunno if you're still working on this but a few things I noticed in my Japan run:

- Ryukyu never gets annexed

- The decision to settle Sakhalin (the one that gives northern sakhalin the population resettlement modifier) seemingly never goes away

- moving the capital to tokyo gives it a baby boom + land of opportunity until like 1900, so tokyo ends up with like 2.5M pops by 1880, an absurd amount

Immigration to the new world feels incredibly agressive in this mod, I played France, passed the reforms, did the economy techs, i`m aware that the pops tend to emigrate from the lower life rating metropolitan provinces to the colonies, but in my campaing accepted pops were leaving en masse. France was doing worse than GB and Austria and these countries were supposed to be expelling minorities. Don`t know if this is intended but all the way till the mid game i was experiencing a big negative pop growth. There seems to be a problem in the RGO generation, some provinces are just not hiring anyone regardless of the taxation on the aristocrats, tariffs and production tech, the unemployment is what`s causing them to flee, but i cant find a fix to it.

I'm pretty sure the buffed new world immigration is an issue that base HFM has too, France doing worse than GB is somewhat typical, but Austria not so much, I'll test in the future to see what may be causing that issue. The RGO generation may be due to the bugged state modifiers included in base HFM. I have fixed this by removing them in my most recent Github version of HFM Redux, so maybe you could give that a go and see if it fixes that issue.

How about making it so that each succesfull revolution has a chance to dismantle a nation? Something like adding a modifier as an effect of revolt so while you have one, there is a chance you'll get an event that forces you to dismantle. Obviously, this should not happen too often - only if certain conditions are met (disarmed, lost last war, bankrupt, high militancy and such). This could be integrated with second ACW mechanics (or maybe not) - the idea is to make it possible to simulate the IRL Russian Revolution without relying too much on railroading.

Also, could the French Revolution be made avoidable? For example, the conditions could be modified in such a way that it will never happen after 1853, so if you manage to keep your militancy low, then you are going to keep the ancien regime in power.

Good suggestion, I may consider your first point (but unsure how to approach it at the moment), but I will definitely add in ways to avoid the French Revolution. I'm surprised it isn't already avoidable to be honest.
